I am a mother of 2 beautiful little children that i adore so much. I’m going through a divorce and facing new trials in my life. Even though times are tough and these trials seem really difficult at times, I try to keep my focus on what is important and to enjoy my life. I try to take pictures of me and my kids all the time for a couple of reasons: 1)I want them to see life was still good through hard times 2)I love hanging pictures in our home of our little family. I have been a fan of yours on FB for quite sometime now and love following your work. As a photographer myself, i appreciate your artistic eye, lighting, etc and you have it ALL!!! Your talent is skyhigh and I would love to win this session for my family and I. My parents, who have five kids total (I am the middle at 26 years old) have not had family portraits since the youngest boy(who is now 13 was born). They haven’t had family pictures in that many years for two reasons. One, they couldn’t afford it. Two, its been years since the whole family has been together! For my sister and I moved years ago and so did my brother, who is stationed in Germany fighting for our country. However, the second week of Feb we will ALL be together for the first time in years!! What brings us together is my brother who lives in Germany is being stationed back in the US (praise the lord!)and in the time that he was overseas he had a son. His son is almost a year old so we will finally get to meet him and also celebrate his first birthday! How great is that!? So winning this session, would be an amazing SURPRISE to my parents whom are beyond excited to have ALL five of there children in one place for the first time in years! I am so very excited to enter to win the one thing my husband and I have been wanting for so long now! We are a family of four. First of all, we have never had photos done professioanally. Secondly, we couldn’t afford to have them done due to our debts from the economy and me being laid off to care for our son before and after his heart surgery. He was born with a rare heart defect 1 month after we finished building our home. Being laid off and my husbands construction business going downhill due to the economy almost kept us from keeping the home we built with our own hands. Now the kids are the perfect ages to capture that special time but still the finances are just not there. My husband and I are both 34 and our children are 3 and 8 years old. Photos save a moment in time. So many memories can be captured in a single shot. Losing both my parents and not having many pictures of them, I now will step in front of a camera. Before I would run away, stand in the back of a a group shot. Since I have so few pictures of my parents I don’t want to leave my childern without some incredible family pictures. I look at what you have done with your passion and I just can’t help but be excited for you. When you did our pictures a little over 2 years ago you rekindled a spark of passion in me with your love for photography.
