Studio

I haven’t really had time to blog about the fact that I opened a studio, and so tonight I am going to do just that! I am so excited to share with you our family project! We spent a whole month whipping this space into shape, and bringing it some style, to represent me, and the type of photography experience I want to provide for my clients.
I got the keys to the studio on Sept. 1st, and wanted to have my Grand Opening October 8th, which meant we had barely over a month to change this drab space into something fabulous and inviting.

I was so blessed to have lots of support. My friend Tracy Wilson, who happens to be the amazing owner of Trillary Designs helped alot, she actually picked up the sink from the bay area where she lives, and drove it up to redding when her family came for a visit. She also saved time on a saturday morning to run around town with me, picking out paint colors, and much much more. THANK YOU TRACY your AMAZING!

The people who really slaved away the most though, have to be my amazingly EPIC husband! He worked 50 hour work weeks, and then spent every waking moment, changing out light fixtures, and doing all the “Manly” stuff. My sister in law Karen, was a FANTASTIC Painter, she would also come over after work and paint for hours! I just can’t thank these 2 enough… without them, this studio never would have happened! I LOVE YOU BOTH!

Even my kids worked hard to get the studio done in time!

More then just finishing the studio and opening it was getting my “Studio Legs” I have to say, I’ve been primarily an outdoor, natural light photographer, and I really wanted the “Style” of natural light, indoors… which honestly is a little bit tricky to accomplish! But I am excited to say, I am starting to get results I am happy with. Below are a few of my favorite sessions from the studio.

I’m so excited about 2012, and all the fabulous opportunity’s to meet new clients, and provide amazing pictures my amazing existing clients, THANK YOU so much to everyone who has supported me, it makes all the difference in the world to me, and I am SO grateful to do something I love so much. And I hope you love it too!
